Actively monitoring data centre systems, including servers, network devices, storage systems. • Monitoring and recording environmental conditions within the data centre, such as temperature, humidity, and power usage. Ensure aircon is in healthy state. • Ensuring compliance with physical security procedures, managing access control, and managing CCTV and security access.
- Eye-ball checking of system faults and failures • Coordinate all works in the data centre – eg. packing tapes for transport, preparing for incoming or outgoing equipment with DC Facility Management. • Escorting engineers/customers when required. • Onboarding and offboarding customers when required.
- Troubleshoot and escalate issues according to escalation matrix and procedures. • Respond to calls and emails from Operations Managers, customers, etc. • Return to HQ on adhoc basis when requested. • Maintaining accurate records of data centre operations, including access logs, environmental data, and incident reports.
- Any other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: (Indicate the qualifications, education, associated training, background knowledge, skills and attributes to perform the job competently) • Possesses minimum NITEC in IT related discipline or Recognized Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Information Systems • Preferable 3 years’ experience in Data Center Operation • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills • Good customer service aptitude, and strong work ethic. • 12-hour shift arrangement, according to rosters in a 24x7 environment. May swap shifts with colleagues when there are unforeseen circumstances.
Eg. medical or family emergencies. • Good technical knowledge on Data Centre monitoring tools. • Working knowledge of Data Centre Mechanical & Electrical for operation.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server operating system and network infrastructure. • Basic knowledge on Windows 10 and M365 apps (Excel, Word, outlook, sharepoint, etc) • Self-driven and able to work independently
