Role Description The Assistant Business Development Manager – Sustainability Services is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. This role supports the growth of EcoSphere’s sustainability services by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and assisting in the preparation of proposals and presentations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market and industry research, tracking relevant sustainability trends and regulations, and assisting in the development of service offerings tailored to client needs. The role involves coordinating meetings, preparing sales and pipeline reports, and collaborating with technical and consulting teams to ensure accurate scoping and delivery of sustainability projects. The Assistant Business Development Manager also helps maintain CRM records, participates in client visits and events, and contributes to marketing initiatives such as case studies and thought leadership materials.
Qualifications

• Strong business development and client relationship skills, including the ability to identify opportunities, build networks, and support sales processes.
• Solid analytical and research capabilities, with experience in market analysis, data interpretation, and understanding sustainability and ESG trends.
• Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and the ability to convey technical sustainability concepts to diverse audiences.
• Organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in sustainability, environmental management, ESG consulting, or related fields.
• Proficiency in standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM systems).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur, engage with clients in person, and travel locally or regionally when required.
