Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for electronic assembly (e.g., SMT, PCB assembly, wave soldering, testing) to improve efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze production line performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues on the production floor, minimizing downtime and defects.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow charts, and control plans.
  • Conduct process capability studies (Cpk/Ppk) and statistical process control (SPC) to ensure processes remain within specification.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, R&D, and Production teams on new product introduction (NPI), ensuring manufacturability and process readiness.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for process-related defects and non-conformances.
  • Evaluate and implement new equipment, tools, or automation solutions to enhance production capabilities.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, cycle time reduction, and waste elimination.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) in all process activities.
  • Train production staff on new processes, equipment operation, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Process Engineer in an electronics manufacturing environment (SMT/PCB assembly experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, 8D).
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, machine setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with process capability studies (Cpk/Ppk).
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with AutoCAD, MES, or simulation software is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
