Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day P&C billing, premium administration, payment reconciliation and related finance operations.
  • Review and verify premiums, invoices, billing details and policy records to ensure accuracy.
  • Process billing adjustments, Debit Notes and other required billing documents.
  • Monitor and reconcile client and insurer Statements of Accounts (SOAs), investigate discrepancies and follow up on outstanding or aged items.
  • Track premium collections and payments to insurers and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and outstanding balances.
  • Assist with commission reconciliation and other finance-related operational matters for P&C accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing, payment, policy and client records in relevant systems.
  • Support policy administration for P&C accounts, including new business, endorsements, policy changes, cancellations and renewals.
  • Prepare policy administration documents, schedules, renewal data and other supporting documentation.
  • Liaise with insurers, Finance, Account Managers and internal teams on billing, reconciliation, policy administration and account servicing matters.
  • Ensure all transactions and requests are processed accurately and within established turnaround times.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved billing, payment, reconciliation and policy administration issues to the Manager.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties and assignments as requested by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Diploma holder with a minimum of 2–3 years of working experience in the insurance industry.
  • Exercises good judgement and discretion, with a strong customer and quality focus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, with the ability to prioritize work effectively and see tasks through to completion.
  • More experienced insurance billing specialists are expected to work with minimal direction and supervision.
