About the Role
The Company is seeking a strategic and commercially sharp Head of Finance to serve as the principal financial adviser for its Shared Services Centre (SSC) — a shared services delivery environment spanning multiple functions and geographies. This is a high-visibility, senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of finance strategy, shared services economics, and enterprise transformation — partnering directly with C-suite, Group Finance, and LBU CFOs to shape and execute financial direction across the SSC.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Serve as the principal financial adviser to SSC and functional leadership — shaping and executing financial strategy aligned to Group priorities, Efficient Growth targets, and enterprise transformation
- Drive long-term value creation through strategic capacity planning, service model optimisation, and investment prioritisation across SSC operations
- Lead financial scenario modelling and strategic trade-off discussions on location strategy, demand management, and service scalability
Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for SSC operations
- Develop and maintain robust financial models supporting demand forecasting, utilisation tracking, and cost optimisation
- Provide clear, decision-oriented insights for C-suite, Group Executive Committee, and Board-level discussions on SSC performance and efficiency metrics
- Ensure alignment between SSC financial plans and Group financial targets
Cost Management, Efficiency & SSC Economics
- Lead cost management and optimisation initiatives across SSC — focusing on productivity, utilisation, and service efficiency
- Drive transparency of recharges to local business units, ensuring charges are explainable, defensible, and free from cost distortions or under-recovery
- Identify and address cost leakage, underutilisation, and inefficiencies in the service delivery model
Investment, Transformation & ROI
- Evaluate and prioritise investments related to SSC expansion, automation, and capability development — ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and maximising ROI
- Lead financial due diligence and business case assessments for transformation initiatives including process digitisation and automation
- Support optimisation of the delivery footprint and vendor/partner strategies to maximise value
Financial Governance, Risk & Control
- Ensure strong financial governance, controls, and compliance across SSC activities
- Oversee financial risk management — proactively identifying and mitigating cost leakage, inefficiencies, and structural issues in cost allocation and cross-border recharge models
Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted adviser to SSC leadership, Group Finance, and LBU CFOs — providing constructive challenge, commercial insight, and fact-based recommendations
- Enable alignment between centralised service delivery and local business needs — fostering strong collaboration across markets and functions
Capability Building
- Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to finance resources supporting SSC — fostering consistency in insight quality, commercial rigour, and decision support
- Foster a culture of commercial excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification — CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
Experience
- 15–20 years of finance experience, including exposure to business partnering, cost management, or shared services environments
- Proven track record in financial planning, cost optimisation, and investment governance
- Deep understanding of offshore/shared services delivery models, recharge frameworks, utilisation metrics, and service costing
- Proven ability as a trusted adviser to senior Finance leadership, influencing key decisions and strategic direction
