Key responsibilities

• Warehouse Space & Layout Management: Plan and optimize warehouse capacity, space utilization, zoning, racking, binning, and palletization for efficient stock storage and movement.

• Inventory Control & Stock Auditing: Oversee stock availability, accurate WMS recording, and lead monthly and year-end stock counts including discrepancy reconciliation.

• Material & Stock Shortage Management: Monitor raw materials and stock levels against order requirements to identify and address shortages promptly.

• Production & Assembly Planning: Schedule production timelines and material allocation based on order demand, stock availability, and capacity.

• Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Manage receiving, putaway, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch processes to ensure timely order movement.

• Order Fulfilment & Customer Service: Ensure accurate, on-time order delivery, follow up on delayed orders, and assist walk-in customers.

• Workforce & Labor Management: Supervise warehouse staff, manage daily work allocations, attendance, overtime planning, and address labor shortages or training needs.

• Performance & Productivity Tracking: Set daily targets, track staff productivity through worker reports, and resolve performance gaps.

• Operations & Process Optimization: Oversee daily warehouse workflows, investigate operational issues, execute root-cause analysis, and enforce compliance and safety standards.

• WMS Administration & Data Analytics: Utilize WMS software to track warehouse operations, review analytical reports, and drive continuous operational improvements.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or assistant management role

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and distribution practices

• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

• Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively

• Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
