Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
Warehouse Space & Layout Management: Plan and optimize warehouse capacity, space utilization, zoning, racking, binning, and palletization for efficient stock storage and movement.
Inventory Control & Stock Auditing: Oversee stock availability, accurate WMS recording, and lead monthly and year-end stock counts including discrepancy reconciliation.
Material & Stock Shortage Management: Monitor raw materials and stock levels against order requirements to identify and address shortages promptly.
Production & Assembly Planning: Schedule production timelines and material allocation based on order demand, stock availability, and capacity.
Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Manage receiving, putaway, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch processes to ensure timely order movement.
Order Fulfilment & Customer Service: Ensure accurate, on-time order delivery, follow up on delayed orders, and assist walk-in customers.
Workforce & Labor Management: Supervise warehouse staff, manage daily work allocations, attendance, overtime planning, and address labor shortages or training needs.
Performance & Productivity Tracking: Set daily targets, track staff productivity through worker reports, and resolve performance gaps.
Operations & Process Optimization: Oversee daily warehouse workflows, investigate operational issues, execute root-cause analysis, and enforce compliance and safety standards.
WMS Administration & Data Analytics: Utilize WMS software to track warehouse operations, review analytical reports, and drive continuous operational improvements.
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or assistant management role
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and distribution practices
Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively
Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
