Ichor Systems, Inc. Hiring! Full Time Maintenance Engineer (CNC Machining) in Selangor - Ricebowl

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance team in Malaysia and ensure the reliability, performance, and uptime of our CNC machining equipment and supporting manufacturing systems. In this role, you will lead preventive maintenance, troubleshoot CNC equipment, reduce machine downtime, and drive equipment reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for CNC machines and supporting production equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and CNC control-related equipment issues to minimize production downtime
• Analyze machine downtime and recurring failures to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions
• Monitor equipment performance using maintenance KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, OEE, and machine availability
• Lead equipment improvement activities to enhance CNC machine reliability, productivity, accuracy, and overall performance
• Support CNC machine installation, relocation, commissioning, and upgrading activities, including machine setup and re-commissioning after major maintenance
• Coordinate with machine suppliers and service providers for technical troubleshooting, machine servicing, spare parts, and equipment upgrades
• Manage critical spare parts and maintenance requirements to ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns
• Maintain maintenance records and technical documentation, including PM schedules, service reports, machine history, checklists, and technical manuals
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Tooling, and Engineering teams to resolve machine-related issues and improve machining operations
• Provide technical guidance and support to Maintenance Technicians and promote safe and effective maintenance practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 3–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, CNC machine maintenance, or manufacturing engineering, preferably in metal machining or precision manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with CNC machines and manufacturing equipment
• Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar systems.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine control systems
• Knowledge of CNC machine components such as spindles, servo motors, ball screws, pumps, sensors, tooling systems, and coolant systems is an advantage
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, machine manuals, and equipment layouts
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on CNC machining and manufacturing environment and support production requirements when necessary
