Job role :

This role is responsible for continuously identifying new ideas, developing product concepts and supporting the introduction of innovative food products that are relevant to the market and aligned with the company’s business direction.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor and identify new food trends, consumer preferences, market developments and competitor activities.
• Proactively generate and propose new product and food concepts based on market opportunities.
• Conduct product research, benchmarking and competitor analysis to identify potential opportunities.
• Develop and test new food products, including recipe formulation, ingredient selection and product refinement.
• Conduct product trials and sensory evaluations to ensure product quality, taste and consistency.
• Work closely with R&D, Operations, Procurement, Marketing and other relevant departments throughout the product development process.
• Gather feedback from internal teams and customers to continuously improve product concepts.
• Support product costing and ensure proposed products are commercially viable.
• Assist in product testing, pilot launches and preparation for wider implementation.
• Maintain proper documentation of product development, testing results and product specifications.
• Continuously explore new ingredients, techniques, food concepts and innovations that could bring value to the business.
• Perform other duties and projects related to product development as assigned by management.

Key Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Business or related fields.
• Experience in Food R&D, Product Development, Culinary Development or F&B will be an advantage.
• Strong interest in the food and beverage industry with a good understanding of current market trends.
• Highly proactive, curious and willing to explore new ideas.
• Strong “FOMO” mindset towards emerging food trends, consumer behaviour and market opportunities.
• Creative and able to translate market trends into practical product concepts.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willing to conduct product trials, market research and outlet visits when required.

We are looking for a proactive and innovative individual to join our team in New Product / Food Development. The ideal candidate should have a genuine curiosity about the food market, consumer preferences and emerging trends, with a strong “fear of missing out” mindset towards new food concepts and opportunities.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
