Responsibilities
Our client, a Hong Kong-headquartered alternative asset management firm with a strong focus on the Asia-Pacific region, is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist. This role is essential for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for Mid-Office Trading systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to internal users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Frontline Liaison: Serve as the primary escalation point for internal users reporting technical issues across Trading systems.
- Issue Resolution: Respond to and close out support tickets efficiently, keeping operational downtime to a minimum.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Documentation: Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to enhance future reference and support efficiency.
- Training Sessions: Conduct training sessions for clients on system functionalities and best practices to optimize usage.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively spot opportunities to boost system performance and elevate the overall user experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated background in technical support—ideally within financial services or the hedge fund space.
- Strong understanding of financial systems, including trading platforms, risk management tools, and data analysis software.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL queries, coding capabilities, and network troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
