ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a leadership seat with a technical core. You will build and run Tapway's project delivery function — owning how every AI Vision, CCTV integration, and on-premise deployment project is planned, resourced, and delivered across the company. You will hire, mentor, and set the bar for a team of project managers, and you will personally lead our largest and most complex deployments.

Tapway delivers software that runs on cameras and servers inside our clients' physical environments. That means this role needs real technical depth: you should come from a software development background, be deeply familiar with CCTV / video surveillance systems, and know what it takes to deploy software on-premise at scale — Linux, containers, networking, and all. You will also champion how AI agents are used both in the products we deliver and in how your team works. Success looks like: a delivery org that ships on time, a portfolio that leadership can see clearly, and a team of PMs who are technically credible enough to challenge engineers — respectfully.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and lead the project delivery function: hire, mentor, and manage project managers; set delivery standards, playbooks, and KPIs.

Own portfolio-level delivery — timelines, budgets, quality — across all concurrent AI Vision, system integration, and enterprise deployment projects.

Personally lead the largest, most complex programs: CCTV / video surveillance rollouts, multi-site on-premise server and software deployments, and agentic AI initiatives (multi-agent orchestration systems, natural-language query layers over real-time vision event data, LLM tool-use and automation).

Partner with engineering leadership on delivery capacity, resource planning, and release sequencing.

Champion technical credibility across the delivery team: engineering literacy, code-level scoping, and hands-on familiarity with the deployment stack.

Drive adoption of AI and AI agent tooling across delivery workflows — reporting, risk detection, requirements analysis, project automation.

Serve as the senior escalation point for clients and stakeholders on delivery issues; own relationship management for enterprise customers and strategic partners.

Continuously improve delivery methodology, documentation, and reporting; provide clear portfolio visibility to company leadership.

Oversee vendor, hardware, and network partners to keep deployments dependable and scalable.

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related technical field.
• 6+ years managing software development and/or system integration projects, with at least 2 years leading or mentoring other project managers.
• Strong software development background — you have built or meaningfully contributed to software, can review technical designs, and can evaluate engineering estimates with credibility.
• Deep experience with CCTV or video surveillance systems — IP cameras, NVRs, video management systems, video analytics, and large-scale multi-site camera deployments.
• Expertise in on-premise server and software deployment — Linux, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), networking, enterprise infrastructure, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with AI and AI agents — you have delivered or led agentic AI / LLM-agent projects, and you actively use AI agents in your own workflows.
• Proven experience building and leading cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholders.
• Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, hybrid, or waterfall for hardware-infused programs).

Nice-to-Have

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification in a leadership capacity.
• Experience with smart city or IoT programs (context brokering, digital twins, citizen services, identity and access control, data platforms).
• Experience building a project management office (PMO) or delivery function from the ground up.
• Exposure to hardware/vendor procurement and supply-chain dependency management.
