Role Description The Head of Human Resources at IMAN Media Group Sdn. Bhd. is responsible for leading the overall HR strategy and operations for the organization. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kajang, overseeing workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing HR policies, managing performance appraisal processes, coordinating learning and development initiatives, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards. The role also involves guiding employee relations, handling conflict resolution, supporting organizational culture and engagement programs, and advising senior leadership on people-related matters and strategic HR decisions. The Head of Human Resources will collaborate closely with department heads to align HR practices with business objectives and support sustainable growth.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience guiding HR teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in HR strategy, workforce planning, and policy development to support organizational goals.
- Proficiency in talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance management processes.
- Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and fostering an inclusive, respectful workplace culture.
- Solid understanding of Malaysian labor laws, HR compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Ability to design and implement learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including use of HR metrics and data to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in both written and verbal forms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; HR certifications are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a senior HR role, preferably within media, publishing, or related industries.
