Purpose of the position
The purpose of this position is to plan and conduct engineering projects of a complex nature to meet client requirements.
Accountabilities
- Applies a robust understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical, economical and innovative solutions to problems
- Produces designs, documentation, specifications, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity under the guidance of senior staff
- Prepares client reports, presentations and updates
- Contributes to project planning and ensures their work is delivered within programme and budget
- Liaises with drafters to enable preparation of design documentation
- Checks Graduate Engineers’ work as directed
- Represents the company professionally with client representatives and other consultants
- Interprets and communicates information effectively to different stakeholders
- Takes appropriate responsibility for the planning and management of resources for small or medium projects, or aspects of larger projects, including technical outcomes and adherence to project schedule/timelines
- Ensures compliance with applicable Codes, local authorities requirements and policies including WHS practices and Quality Assurance
- Coordinates with clients and other consultants on design, construction, and submission aspects of projects
- Attends technical / site meetings as required
