Renovation is a huge and complex industry involving many parties and thousands of decisions. This leads to countless problems technology can solve and an opportunity for you to implement your solutions. 

At The Makeover Guys, you’ll work on real problems in an uncommon tech environment, answering questions like:

• How can AI / digital solutions transform the renovation experience?
• How can we streamline internal processes & reduce manual work?
• How can digital solutions improve our business model and processes?

Background.

The Makeover Guys is an interior makeover service that transforms properties from end-to-end, but we’re not trying to build a better service using the same old playbook. We’re building the systems & workflows that could change how our business operates.

Our team is already building across AI, automation, internal digital products, CX-driven products and integrations. We’re now looking for someone who wants to go much further.

What You’ll Do.

Exploration & Creation

• Work directly with business units to uncover inefficiencies and unmet needs or find opportunities to challenge existing processes.
• Explore different solutions - from AI, automation to SaaS, AI-assisted development and custom software - and validate whether they actually solve the problem.
• Contribute to product and system architecture decisions.

Build & Own

• Build and deliver digital products.
• Write clean, maintainable code based on strong fundamentals.
• Use AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery without compromising quality and replacing craft.
• Review and govern Al-generated code & database structures to maintain quality, consistency, and architectural integrity.
• Take ownership through implementation, testing, deployment and iteration.
• Monitor what you’ve built and continuously improve based on real-world usage.

Raise The Bar

• Maintain standards for code, architecture, security, databases and AI-assisted development.
• Identify technical debt and systemic risk before they become expensive.
• Experiment with emerging technologies and introduce better ways of working.

Who You Are.

You’re a builder / a creator.

You enjoy “There’s a problem” →  “What if we do this…” → “Let’s try if it works out…” → “It’s working!”

You’re comfortable with ambiguity, curious about how business works and excited by the process of turning an idea into something real. You care about good architecture, security, testing, data integrity and maintainability. You treat AI as an assistant / tool, not a replacement.

You probably have:

1. Experience building digital products, internal tools, SaaS automation or integrations.
2. Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to code independently of AI tools.
3. Experience with APIs, database, SQL and modern web technologies.
4. Experience using AI solutions and workflows in software development, automation or integration.
5. The ability to evaluate a problem and think of solutions - whether it’s a custom system, SaaS, or AI product.
6. You care about whether something actually solves a problem, not just whether it technically works.
7. The curiosity to learn technologies outside what you’ve known / our existing tech stack.

A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science. Information Technology, AI, Data Science, any technical discipline is welcome, but we care more about what you’ve built and how you think than the exact title of your degree.
