  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, negotiation and deal closure.
  • Develop strategic account plans to deepen client relationships and drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and client needs to identify emerging opportunities and growth sectors.
  • Evaluate commercial opportunities, including revenue potential, profitability and strategic fit.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Support the development of a scalable business development function aligned with the company's growth ambitions.
  • Coach, mentor and share best practices with junior business development team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance and client-centric sales culture.
  • Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and capability development initiatives as the team expands.
  • Lead through influence and example, promoting accountability, continuous learning and commercial excellence.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders across service lines and markets to drive integrated client solutions.
  • Partner closely with operational and subject matter experts to ensure commercial opportunities are effectively pursued and delivered.
  • Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels while balancing diverse priorities and perspectives.
  • Act as a commercial ambassador for the business, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.

Change & Commercial Excellence

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, pipeline management and forecasting practices.
  • Drive adoption of commercial best practices and disciplined sales management.
  • Support transformation initiatives that enhance client experience, sales effectiveness and business performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ways of working and implement practical solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, sales or commercial leadership roles, preferably within corporate services, governance, professional services, accounting, legal or consulting environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue targets and delivering sustainable business growth.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or developing business development professionals and teams.
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate within matrix and stakeholder-rich environments.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple stakeholders with professionalism, diplomacy and credibility.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance short-term revenue objectives and long-term strategic goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, resilience and adaptability.
  • Experience managing organizational change, business transformation or process improvement initiatives will be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of governance, company secretarial or professional services solutions would be advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
