Regional Director / Country Lead

Location: Asia | Kuala Lumpur

MRG is seeking an experienced Regional Director / Country Lead to take ownership of our Asian business, based in Kuala Lumpur.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially driven recruitment or executive search professional with the experience and ambition to lead the next phase of growth across the region.

You will take responsibility for the commercial strategy and performance of an established Asian operation, working with an existing team of five and a strong international client base. The role combines business development, strategic client management, team leadership and revenue generation, with significant scope to expand the business further across Asia.

The successful candidate will bring:

• A proven track record in recruitment or executive search leadership

• Strong personal business development and fee-generation experience

• Established senior-level networks across the Asian market

• Experience within Real Estate, Construction, Development, Facilities or the wider built environment

• The ability to lead, develop and grow a high-performing team

• Strong commercial judgement and a strategic approach to market development

• The credibility to operate with C-suite and senior stakeholders

This is an opportunity to build on an established platform rather than start from scratch. With an existing team, client relationships, international infrastructure and a structured handover from the outgoing Regional Managing Director, the foundations are already in place.

The focus now is on growth — expanding the client base, developing the team, identifying new opportunities and increasing the scale of MRG’s presence across Asia.
