Job Summary
The Digital Banking UAT Tester is responsible for testing digital banking systems, applications, and new features from an end-user perspective before they are released. The role ensures that all functions meet business requirements, operate correctly, and provide a smooth and secure customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare UAT test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform end-to-end testing across digital banking platforms, including mobile applications and web portals.
- Test key banking functions such as:
- Customer registration and eKYC
- Login and authentication
- Account opening and account management
- Fund transfers and payments
- DuitNow/FAST or other payment services
- Debit or credit card functions
- Transaction history and statements
- Notifications and alerts
- Password reset and account recovery
- Customer service and dispute workflows
- Conduct positive, negative, regression, integration, and usability testing.
- Compare actual results against expected results and business requirements.
- Identify, document, and report system defects clearly, including screenshots and reproduction steps.
- Track defects and work closely with Business, Product, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams until resolution.
- Retest resolved defects and confirm that fixes do not affect existing functions.
- Maintain proper UAT documentation and testing evidence for audit and compliance purposes.
- Participate in requirement discussions, defect review meetings, and UAT status updates.
- Highlight critical issues, customer-impact risks, and process gaps before system deployment.
- Support production validation or post-launch testing when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Banking, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in UAT, software testing, digital banking, fintech, or banking operations is preferred.
- Good understanding of digital banking journeys, customer service processes, and financial transactions.
- Able to interpret business requirements and convert them into detailed test scenarios.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify system or process gaps.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Able to communicate defects and testing outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using defect-tracking or project-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Confluence is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of API testing, SQL, or testing tools such as Postman is an added advantage.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Able to work independently and meet tight testing timelines.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
