  • Strategies: Spreads, combinations, volatility plays.
  • OTC Derivatives: Swaps, forwards, exotic options.
  • Structured Products: Capital-protected notes, yield enhancers, etc.
  • Industry Background: Experience in banking, capital markets, or tier-1 financial institutions.
  • Scale: Proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise applications in production.

3. What You Will Actually Do

A. Backend Engineering & Data

  • Design databases and data models that can handle complex financial instruments, trades, and cash flows.
  • Build high-performance APIs (REST/gRPC) for trading platforms, market data, and risk systems.
  • Create event-driven architectures for real-time trade processing.
  • Ensure data integrity and system performance.

B. Derivatives Logic Implementation

  • Translate financial requirements into code.
  • Implement pricing models and calculate "Greeks" (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta, Rho).
  • Build systems for the full trade lifecycle: booking, validation, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Handle regulatory reporting (MAS, EMIR, Dodd-Frank).
  • Integrate with market data providers and clearing houses.

C. Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Quants, Traders, and Risk Managers to ensure the tech matches business needs.
  • Mentor junior developers.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, stand-ups).
  • Help with cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP) and production support.
