Responsibilities
Summary
The Head of Airside leads all airside operations, including ramp and baggage services, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant ground handling operations. The role is responsible for operational performance, customer satisfaction, workforce leadership, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across airside activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all airside operations, including ramp and baggage services.
Drive operational excellence, safety, service quality, and regulatory compliance.
Lead and develop large operational teams, fostering a high-performance and safety-first culture.
Act as the senior escalation point for operational, safety, and service issues.
Build and maintain strong relationships with airline customers, airport authorities, and regulators.
Ensure audit readiness and compliance with aviation standards and company policies.
Lead transformation, process improvement, innovation, and digitalization initiatives.
Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
Monitor operational and financial performance to improve productivity and cost efficiency.
Promote employee engagement, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution.
Minimum 10 years of experience in airport operations, ramp handling, or ground handling services.
At least 5 years of leadership or management experience.
Proven ability to lead large, multi-functional teams in a high-volume operational environment.
Strong knowledge of ramp operations, baggage handling, aviation safety, and regulatory requirements (CAAS, IATA, ICAO).
Strong stakeholder management, operational leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
