We are seeking for an Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping department and take ownership of the brand's housekeeping and presentation standards.
This is a foundational role for someone who wants to shape how a growing hospitality brand is experienced by guests — not just maintain an existing standard, but help build it.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Standards & Quality
- Develop, document, and own KHMSB's brand housekeeping standards — room presentation, public area upkeep, hygiene protocols, and amenity standards — for consistent application across properties
- Design and implement quality audit systems (room inspections, public area checks, guest feedback tracking) to measure and enforce standard compliance
- Serve as the reference point for housekeeping standards as new properties join the group, ensuring consistency from day one of each takeover or opening
Departmental Leadership
- Oversee all Housekeeping operations: guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and linen management
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage Housekeeping Supervisors, Room Attendants, and support staff
- Build and deliver training programs that embed brand standards into new and existing staff, not just SOP documentation
- Conduct regular inspections and drive corrective action where standards fall short
Operations & Cost Management
- Manage departmental budget, forecasting, and cost control (linen, amenities, cleaning supplies, OS&E)
- Oversee vendor relationships for outsourced services (e.g., laundry, pest control) and negotiate contracts where applicable
- Manage inventory systems and stock control to balance cost efficiency with guest experience
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Front Office on room readiness, VIP preparation, and guest requests
- Coordinate with Engineering on maintenance issues, preventive maintenance schedules, and room deficiencies
- Partner with the Group HR and Operations teams to align department structure, staffing levels, and standards as the portfolio grows
- Support due diligence and pre-opening readiness assessments for new property takeovers
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations across all housekeeping operations
- Maintain chemical handling, storage, and safety protocols in line with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar capacity within a 5-star hotel/resort property
- Overseas / international hospitality experience required
- Hands-on hotel pre-opening experience essential
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Strong leadership, organizational, and people-management skills
- Working knowledge of housekeeping systems, inventory control, and OS&E management
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Malaysian citizen or valid work authorization

- The opportunity to define brand standards for a growing hospitality group from the ground up
