Responsibilities

Job Summary

Primary focus will be on IT Application Management & Support (e.g Leisure & Hospitality, Leasing,

Retail & Malls).


Key Responsibilities

  • To lead the application team in managing and supporting all existing IT applications, while serving as the primary point of contact for the business.
  • In this role, you will act as the business analyst within the Division, assisting in the development and implementation of new applications and processes. You will ensure the seamless day-to-day operations and continuous functionality of systems, while guiding the business through the adoption of new technologies
  • Lead and assist with the setup, configuration, and administration of all application & systems (including POS platforms like Xilnex and Yardi) for Ticketing, Retail, and F&B. Responsibilities include managing pricing, promotions, system interfaces, postings, and E-invoicing across all current and future platforms, including online channels.
  • Participate where appropriate in detail installation, configuration and testing procedures of all IT application project implementations.
  • To liaise with respective service providers and vendors to analyze, trouble-shoot, resolve and document all operational issues faced which cannot be resolved within the IT Support or Gamuda Group IT team. To provide update and escalate issues accordingly to IT Support manager if necessary.
  • To maintain the service uptime for all application related services and ensure that other respective business units or departments to operate in the most efficient, secured and reliable way.
  • To manage and if and perform necessary application upgrade and patches to keep all versions up –to-date.
  • To perform the required application Backup and Restoration processes required that meet financial and business compliance.
  • Provide alternative solution to end-users in the event of failures in order to allow business operation resumption.
  • Assist and provide application expertise/support during Disaster Recovery activation and execution.
  • Assist in budget planning and the procurement process for IT software/applications, services, and solutions to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • To assist and ensure that all application is compliant with group compliance and risks including access management review.
  • Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.


Qualifications

  • Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree / Masters in IT related qualification.


Competencies Required

  • Cloud Computing: Knowledge of Google Cloud or similar cloud platforms for scalable IT solutions.
  • End-User Support: Proficient in supporting mobile computing, laptop/desktop/POS devices including printers, office application software, and telephony services tailored to the Division technology environment.
  • Industry-Specific Experience: At least 5 years of experience supporting IT environments in themed parks or similar organizational levels related to Ticketing, F&B, Retail, Online Platforms, System Interfaces.
  • Database and Application Management: Familiarity with MySQL/SQL databases and corporate application systems such as ERP is advantageous.
  • Certifications and Added Skills: Certifications such as ITIL V4, PMP, are highly desirable, alongside knowledge of O365 products, including Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Staff Management: Proven experience of at least 3 years the ability to manage and supervise IT staff, ensuring efficient operations and collaboration within the team.
  • Flexibility & Availability: Ability to work outside standard hours, including weekends, public holidays, or off-days on a team rotation basis if required. Prompt availability is required to handle emergencies or unforeseen operational needs as they arise.
  • Mobility: Must possess reliable personal transportation and be willing to travel between various job sites as required.

Attention to detail, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are key qualities for success in this role
