Job Summary
At Azbil Singapore, we help shape smarter, safer, and more sustainable buildings through intelligent automation solutions. We are seeking an ELV Proposal Engineer to prepare competitive and compliant technical and commercial proposals for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) projects in Singapore. The role covers tender review, quantity take-off, cost estimation, supplier sourcing, risk assessment, bid submission, and project handover support.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyse tender drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents to identify technical, commercial, and contractual requirements.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and scope assessments for ELV systems.
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, datasheets, and technical and commercial proposals in accordance with client requirements and tender deadlines.
- Source, evaluate, and manage quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify scope gaps and project risks, and prepare tender clarifications, assumptions, exclusions, and
- qualifications.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Projects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the tender process and during post-submission clarifications.
- Support value engineering and cost optimization while maintaining technical compliance.
- Conduct project handover upon award and provide commercial support during project execution when required.
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Building Services, Instrumentation and Control, or a related engineering discipline.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, specifically in ELV system estimation or quantity surveying.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and tender documents.
- Familiarity with ELV and smart building systems, such as BMS, CCTV, access control, structured cabling,
- public address, and security systems.
- Experience in healthcare, airport, data centre, commercial building, or infrastructure projects will be an
- advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate submissions within tight tender deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
