EPAM Systems Hiring! Full Time Junior Java Developer in Federal Territory - Ricebowl

We are seeking a Junior Java Developer to join EPAM Malaysia’s Hire to Train Program — a structured six-month journey combining mentor-led learning, self-study and hands-on delivery. You will build full stack skill sets across Java, Spring and Front-end development, with exposure to React and Angular, then apply engineering best practices on real assignments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured six-month training plan combining self-study and mentor-led sessions
• Build and enhance applications using Java and Spring
• Contribute to real project work and complete a capstone delivery
• Collaborate with mentors and peers to set goals, track progress and review outcomes
• Apply coding standards, testing practices and version control in daily work
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and team solution discussions
• Continuously improve through feedback, practice and targeted learning

Requirements

• Java development experience, including Java 8 or later
• Spring knowledge, including building RESTful services or web applications
• Database understanding, including SQL and basic NoSQL concepts
• JavaScript knowledge and modern Front-end development concepts, ideally with React or Angular
• Problem-solving ability with attention to detail
• Clear communication and teamwork in a collaborative setting
• Secure coding awareness, including data protection and access control
• Agile ways of working, with exposure to DevOps practices

Nice to have

• Exposure to a major cloud platform
• Familiarity with NoSQL data stores
• Experience with Angular or React through projects, coursework or self-study
