Company Description

Established in 2004, the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) is a private sector-led organisation that partners key stakeholders of the maritime industry and government agencies to foster public-private collaboration, develop and promote Singapore as an International Maritime Centre (IMC), and build a maritime-ready talent pool.


We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to join us as a Stakeholder Engagement Executive.


The successful candidate will be part of the Joint Office for Talent and Skills established by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and SMF. He/she will develop and implement industry-wide initiatives addressing the talent and skills gaps in the maritime sector. The role requires close engagement with maritime companies, institutes of higher learning, training providers, and government agencies to identify workforce challenges, develop solutions, and drive programmes that strengthen Maritime Singapore’s talent pipeline and competitiveness.


Key Responsibilities


Stakeholder engagement

  • Facilitate consultations and build strong partnerships with maritime companies, institutes of higher learning, training providers, and government agencies
  • Coordinate working groups, industry consultations, and stakeholder engagements to drive consensus and action
  • Coordinate and drive alignment on key programs


Project management

  • Drive the development of continuing education and training courses for the maritime sector in emerging areas such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and sustainability
  • Manage initiatives to ensure timely implementation
  • Measure results and impact
  • Support SMF’s outreach platforms to strengthen networks and connections with the maritime industry and HR leaders


Environment Scanning

  • Develop a sound understanding of the maritime industry as well as key trends and developments
  • Analyze and identify industry talent and skills gaps from a wide range of sources including ground insights, survey data, consultation sessions etc, and propose strategies toward addressing these gaps


Others

  • Provide written or verbal presentations as required, to articulate strategies and proposals
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
