Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Malaysia

This opportunity is with a leading company in the global offshore energy industry, supporting complex project delivery across engineering, procurement, construction, installation, operation, and relocation activities. The role focuses on managing medium-complexity IT projects from initiation through completion, with responsibility for project planning, governance, budget control, risk management, and cross-functional team coordination. Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field
  
  

Required Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of managing complex IT projects
• Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration projects
• Experience developing and implementing project management methodologies, best practices, and standards
• Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and financial oversight of IT projects
• Experience in risk management, change management, and quality assurance processes
  
  

Required Skills

• Ability to lead and manage multiple medium-complexity projects from initiation to completion, delivering work on time, within scope, and within budget
• Strong project planning capability, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain effective communication and collaboration across stakeholders
• Strong capability in defining project objectives, scope, and deliverables aligned to business goals and customer requirements
• Proficiency in monitoring project progress, tracking KPIs, and preparing status reports for stakeholders
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to guide and support project team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience with project management tools and software such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management approaches
• Functional capability in governance, risk and control, analytics and reporting, cost and budget control, business partnering, supply chain, digital savvy, business acumen, contract management, project control, and planning
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
