ETL Operations Developer

Client: Banking

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Experience: 5+ years in ETL Operations

Contract: 1 Year + Extendable

Job Purpose

The Senior ETL OPS developer is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and timely delivery of enterprise data pipelines and batch processing environments. This role oversees end-to-end ETL operations, including monitoring, incident resolution, and performance optimization of data workflows. The incumbent drives operational excellence, enforces data governance standards, and collaborates with data engineering, platform, and business teams to ensure data availability and accuracy for critical business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage ETL batch operations within SLA
• Handle production incidents and failed/delayed jobs
• Support production deployment, scheduling and operational changes
• Perform data validation, reconciliation and quality checks
• Provide batch status updates and incident communication
• Support daily and month-end critical business processing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of ETL Operations / Production Support experience
• Experience in Banking / Data Warehouse / BI environments
• Strong SQL skills with Teradata / Oracle
• Experience with Big Data / Hadoop, Azure and Databricks
• Knowledge of Python / Scala and UNIX Shell Scripting
