Retail Executive / Senior Retail Assistant

Location: Cyberjaya
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Work Arrangement: Fully On-Site

Key Responsibilities

• Store Operations
• Oversee and coordinate daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient running of the outlet.
• Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure daily operational tasks are completed according to company standards.
• Support merchandising, administrative, and general store activities.

Sales & Cash Management

• Provide excellent customer service and actively support sales activities.
• Handle cash and cashless transactions accurately.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and assist in preparing sales reports.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, stock movements, and other operational activities.

Customer Service & Product Knowledge

• Understand customers' requirements and recommend suitable products.
• Assist customers with enquiries relating to bakery ingredients, packaging, baking tools, and kitchen essentials.
• Handle customer feedback, enquiries, and complaints professionally.
• Develop good customer relationships and encourage repeat business.

Merchandising & Store Presentation

• Ensure products are properly arranged, priced, labelled, and well-stocked.
• Maintain attractive, neat, and organised product displays.
• Implement promotional, festive, and new product merchandising plans.
• Monitor product presentation and ensure the store maintains a professional appearance.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Assist with stock ordering, receiving, checking, and replenishment.
• Monitor stock availability, fast-moving products, slow-moving items, and expiry dates.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Ensure proper FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation and appropriate product storage.
• Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, and inventory issues to Management.

Team Coordination

• Assist with staff scheduling and manpower planning.
• Guide and support Retail Assistants in their daily duties.
• Monitor team performance and ensure staff follow company procedures.
• Lead by example and maintain a positive and productive working environment.
• Assist the Store Supervisor / Management with staff training and operational matters.

Online Orders & Fulfilment

• Process online, phone, and social media orders accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate order picking, packing, delivery arrangements, and customer self-collection.
• Ensure product information, pricing, and inventory availability are updated accurately.
• Assist in resolving order-related issues and customer enquiries.

Marketing & Customer Engagement

• Support promotional campaigns, festive activities, product launches, demonstrations, workshops, and sampling activities.
• Assist with in-store marketing and customer engagement initiatives.
• Keep updated on baking trends, new ingredients, packaging developments, and product launches.

Store Maintenance & Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organised, safe, and welcoming store environment.
• Ensure products and equipment are handled and stored appropriately.
• Follow company policies, SOPs, food handling requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
• Report maintenance, safety, or operational issues to Management promptly.

Requirements

• Passionate about retail, sales, and customer service.
• Friendly, confident, proactive, and customer-oriented.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Responsible, dependable, hands-on, and willing to take initiative.
• Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Previous experience in retail, supermarket, FMCG, bakery supply, food service, or a related industry is an advantage.
• Candidates with supervisory or team-leading experience are encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates with strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills may also be considered.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Cyberjaya.
