Job Summary
We are seeking a Mid-Level IT Technician to provide technical support for end users, IT hardware, software, network connectivity, and IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT equipment, supporting daily IT operations, and ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
Key Responsibilities
1. End User Support
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to employees.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, scanner, mobile devices, and peripheral issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware and software.
- Support Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications.
- Assist users with account, password, email, and application-related issues.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support.
2. Hardware & Software Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of IT equipment.
- Install and configure PCs, laptops, printers, monitors, and other peripherals.
- Perform operating system installation, imaging, patching, and software deployment.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, warranties, and IT assets.
- Coordinate hardware repairs and replacements with vendors.
3. Network Support
- Troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, and DHCP connectivity issues.
- Support network printers and other network-connected devices.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of switches, access points, and network cabling.
- Escalate complex network issues to the Network or Infrastructure team.
4. User & System Administration
- Create, modify, and disable user accounts.
- Perform basic Active Directory administration.
- Manage user permissions and access according to company policies.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based application administration.
- Support endpoint security, antivirus/EDR, encryption, and security updates.
5. IT Service Management
- Log, monitor, and resolve incidents and service requests through an ITSM/ticketing system.
- Prioritize issues according to business impact and SLA requirements.
- Escalate complex or recurring issues to the appropriate IT team.
- Maintain troubleshooting documentation and knowledge-base articles.
- Follow ITIL-based incident, request, change, and problem-management processes.
6. IT Infrastructure & Project Support
- Assist IT engineers and administrators with infrastructure-related activities.
- Support Windows upgrades, PC refreshes, software rollouts, and system deployments.
- Assist with network and server maintenance activities.
- Participate in IT projects, system testing, deployment, and UAT.
- Provide onsite support during maintenance activities and system implementations.
7. Security & Compliance
- Ensure computers and devices comply with company IT security standards.
- Perform security patching and antivirus/EDR updates.
- Support endpoint encryption and device compliance.
- Follow company policies relating to information security and data protection.
- Assist with IT audits and compliance requirements.

Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in IT Technician, Desktop Support, IT Support, Service Desk, or similar roles.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of an IT team.
- Willing to provide onsite and occasional after-hours support when required
Pay: RM3,453.33 - RM6,186.43 per month
