Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Support the Finance Manager by managing full set accounts, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and system implementation to drive accurate financial operations and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full set accounts including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Inventory for the subsidiary company
  • Generate journal entries on accruals to ensure accurate financial records
  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing financial forecasts and yearly budgets to support strategic planning
  • Prepare Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Project Profit & Loss reports for management review
  • Prepare monthly billing for staff EV charging to ensure timely revenue collection
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations for Management Meetings to communicate financial insights effectively
  • Support system implementation projects by assisting with testing and process documentation to enhance financial systems
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by the Tender Department and management to support decision-making
  • Prepare and review audit schedules to ensure compliance and readiness for audits
  • Provide direct day-to-day assistance to the Finance Manager to facilitate smooth financial operations

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience managing accounting functions in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, to analyze and present financial data

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience using ERP accounting modules, particularly Business Central, to streamline accounting processes
  • Knowledge of Singapore corporate tax, GST, and statutory reporting requirements to ensure compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and support business needs
