Lead the operations of a large-scale industrial energy facility, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance. The role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, regulatory compliance, environmental performance, asset reliability, and team leadership while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all plant operational activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of energy and utility services.
- Oversee production planning, material handling, process operations, and supporting utility systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
- Manage environmental performance, emissions monitoring, waste streams, and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead site security, contractor management, and operational risk mitigation activities.
- Drive asset reliability and process optimisation through preventive maintenance, performance analysis, and continuous improvement programmes.
- Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary operations and technical teams.
- Engage with customers, regulators, utility providers, and internal stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Manage departmental budgets, operating plans, audits, and licensing requirements.
- Support long-term operational strategy, forecasting, business planning, and investment initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process, Energy, or a related engineering discipline.
- 8-10 years of experience within power generation, utilities, industrial processing, chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, environmental services, or similar continuous-process industries.
- Strong understanding of plant operations, environmental compliance, process safety, and asset management.
- Proven experience leading teams within a 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
