Job Description

Lead day-to-day power generation operations, dispatch management, and asset performance optimization across utility-scale renewable energy systems and thermal power plants. Drive operational reliability, ensure compliance with the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS) operating rules, and oversee real-time energy trading integration to maximize revenue yield and support national decarbonization targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Energy Operations & Dispatch Governance: Direct real-time power plant dispatch strategies, grid interconnections, and energy storage system (ESS) operations in coordination with the Energy Market Authority (EMA) and Energy Market Company (EMC).
• Asset Performance & Reliability: Oversee operational maintenance schedules, thermal efficiency programs, and continuous performance monitoring across solar PV, energy storage, and gas-fired generation assets.
• Commercial Integration & Trading Alignment: Partner with energy trading and power portfolio teams to optimize bidding strategies, hedge price exposure in the spot market, and execute power purchase agreements (PPAs).
• HSE & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, environmental, and process safety frameworks across operating facilities in accordance with Singapore regulatory standards.
• Operational Digitalization: Deploy predictive maintenance software, automated SCADA monitoring dashboards, and AI-driven load forecasting models to reduce forced outages and improve plant uptime.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
• 3–4 years of operational leadership experience within power generation, energy utilities, or renewable energy plants, with at least 4 years managing continuous energy facilities.
• Deep technical command of the Singapore wholesale electricity market (NEMS structure), grid codes, and energy storage technologies.
• Strong track record in operational risk management, SCADA/DCS systems, and emergency response leadership.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, strategic leadership, and analytical skills.

Pay: $9,500.00 - $14,500.00 per month
