Job Summary

We seek a Mechanical Services Design Engineer to lead HVAC and mechanical services designs, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions from concept through detailed design.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC and mechanical services design development through concept, schematic, and detailed stages to ensure project success
• Prepare design briefs, engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to support project requirements
• Perform cooling load calculations, system sizing, and HVAC system modeling to optimize system performance
• Conduct hydraulic analysis and size air and water distribution systems for efficient mechanical service delivery
• Develop HVAC system schematics and design solutions throughout the project lifecycle to meet client and regulatory standards
• Design Building Management System (BMS) architecture, specifications, control strategies, and sequences of operation for integrated building control
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive project integration
• Support technical design reviews to verify compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical building services design experience, preferably within an engineering consultancy or design environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and associated mechanical building services
• Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of assigned deliverables
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality engineering work
