Role Description The Safety Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role is responsible for monitoring site activities, conducting regular safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies. The Safety Coordinator will assist in developing and implementing safety procedures, conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks, and support training programs for employees and contractors. Daily tasks include documenting safety observations, coordinating corrective actions, participating in risk assessments, and assisting in accident and incident investigations. The role works closely with project managers, site supervisors, and external stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health principles relevant to engineering and construction environments.
  • Experience with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs, including regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Ability to conduct Safety Training and deliver clear safety briefings and toolbox talks to diverse site teams.
  • Skills in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and recommending preventive measures.
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., WSQ, NEBOSH, or equivalent) and familiarity with Singapore workplace safety regulations.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience in construction or engineering projects, with the ability to work on-site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proactive mindset, strong observation skills, and commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.
