Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join our development team supporting the Life Insurance business unit.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining web applications using .NET technologies. You will work closely with the development team and business stakeholders to deliver new applications and enhance existing systems based on evolving business and customer needs.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on development experience, and the ability to contribute to application architecture and technical design within a Scrum / Lean Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise web applications using .NET technologies.
• Develop and enhance applications to support business and customer requirements.
• Contribute to technical design, architecture, and design decisions, evaluating different technical approaches and their implications.
• Develop scalable applications using microservices and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Apply software engineering principles including SOLID, Design Patterns, DDD, and Clean Architecture.
• Develop and integrate Web APIs and RESTful services.
• Implement secure coding practices in accordance with OWASP principles.
• Work with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including Sequence Diagrams and UML diagrams.
• Work with relational and/or non-relational databases and ORM technologies.
• Participate actively in Scrum / Lean Agile ceremonies and contribute beyond traditional development responsibilities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide creative, scalable solutions to business problems.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Must Have

• Strong experience in .NET / .NET Core development.
• Experience working in enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience with Event-Driven Architecture.
• Strong experience in Microservices Architecture.
• Good understanding of Design Patterns, including:
• SOLID
• Gang of Four (GoF)
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Clean Architecture
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience creating or working with Sequence Diagrams / UML.
• Good knowledge of data persistence technologies, including Entity Framework, ORM, SQL, or NoSQL.
• Strong experience developing Web APIs and RESTful services.
• Hands-on knowledge of Secure Coding Practices / OWASP.

Good to Have

• Experience with Unit Testing, such as XUnit or NUnit.
• Frontend development experience using React, Angular, Blazor, or other frontend frameworks.
• Experience with Observability / Analytics platforms such as ELK Stack or Adobe Analytics.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices, such as Azure DevOps, TFS, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
