As an
Assistant Manager, Technical
, you will lead the technical coordination and design management activities for a major
mixed-use development with residential components
, working closely with consultants, architects, subcontractors and internal project teams from the pre-construction stage through construction.
Lead and manage a team of Design / Coordination Engineers in coordinating architectural, structural and engineering designs with consultants and project stakeholders.
Ensure designs and technical solutions comply with URA, BCA, SCDF and other relevant authority requirements, as well as project specifications.
Act as the key liaison between consultants, architects, clients, contractors, subcontractors and authorities on design and technical matters.
Guide the team in preparing and coordinating shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, technical submissions and authority submissions.
Coordinate and track submission processes to ensure timely review, approval and resolution of technical comments.
Lead the resolution of design discrepancies, constructability issues and multidisciplinary interface matters during construction.
Work closely with Architectural, Structural, M&E, ID and specialist teams to resolve design coordination issues.
Review and manage technical queries by raising and tracking RFIs and RFAs with consultants and relevant parties.
Initiate and evaluate value engineering proposals to improve cost, constructability, safety, quality and project efficiency.
Job Requirements
Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering with at least 6 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering consultancy.
Experience in residential, mixed-use or large-scale building projects is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Singapore building codes, authority requirements and construction methodologies.
Good understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and technical submission processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Independent, proactive and able to lead a technical coordination team.
Candidates with DfSP certification will have an added advantage.
