Human Resources Manager @ Moxy Melaka
1. Pre Opening & Manpower Planning
- Develop manpower plan and organisation structure
- Plan hiring timeline based on hotel opening schedule
- Track headcount, vacancies and joining dates
- Work with department heads on manpower requirements
- Ensure critical positions are filled according to timeline
2. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end to end recruitment for all departments
- Coordinate interviews, offers and employment documentation
- Conduct reference checks and onboarding arrangements
- Manage employee orientation and induction
- Maintain recruitment tracker and candidate database
3. Payroll & HR Administration
- Manage monthly payroll preparation and verification
- Monitor attendance, overtime, leave, allowances and deductions
- Maintain employee records, contracts and personnel files
- Manage probation, confirmation, transfer and promotion documentation
- Coordinate employee benefits and insurance administration
4. Statutory & Compliance
- Manage EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and statutory submissions
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws
- Ensure HR practices comply with Marriott standards
- Maintain HR policies, SOPs and employee handbook
- Support HR audits and required documentation
5. Employee Relations
- Handle employee concerns, grievances and disciplinary matters
- Support department heads on performance and employee issues
- Manage staff welfare and employee communication
- Maintain positive employee relations across departments
- Ensure employee matters are handled professionally and confidentially
6. Learning & Development
- Coordinate pre opening and departmental training
- Manage Marriott required learning programmes
- Monitor training attendance and completion
- Work with department heads to identify training needs
- Drive employee engagement and recognition activities
- Build a strong team culture aligned with the Moxy brand
8. HR Reporting & Cost Management
- Monitor manpower cost against approved budget
- Track turnover, absenteeism, vacancies and recruitment progress
- Prepare monthly HR and manpower reports
- Support annual manpower and payroll budgeting
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality
- Hotel pre opening experience is strongly preferred
- Good knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements
- Strong experience in recruitment, payroll and employee relations
- Hands on, organised and able to work independently
- Marriott or international hotel experience is an advantage
Reports to: General Manager
Salary Range: RM5,000 to RM8,000
Pay: From RM5,000.00 per month
