Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our Risk IT technology team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-performance applications and data-processing solutions using Java and Apache Spark.

The role requires strong technical expertise in Java, distributed systems, Spark, and backend development, along with a good understanding of financial risk technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications using Core Java, Java 8/11/17+, and Spring Boot.
• Develop large-scale data processing applications using Apache Spark.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Work with large datasets and optimize Spark jobs for performance and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Risk teams, QA, DevOps, and other technology teams.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, monitoring, and production releases.

Mandatory Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Multithreading, and Concurrency.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark.
• Strong SQL MS SQL Server and database development skills.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools.
