Job Description

Responsibilities

The Contract Manager will be heavily involved in IT contracts, with a specific focus on software licensing and SaaS subscriptions.
Key Objectives for the role include:
1. Driving contractual and commercial outcomes for the company
2. Ensuring contracts meet the company’s high standards
3. Identifying and minimising risk within the company’s IT contracts
4. Seeking to maximise flexibility within the company’s IT contracts
5. Ensuring the correct allocation of risk between the company and third-party vendors

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing new IT contracts, orders, and statements of work between shared services entities and third-party vendors.
  • Renewing existing IT contracts, orders, and statements of work between shared services entities and third-party vendors.
  • Driving contractual and commercial outcomes with third-party vendors, which may include achieving cost savings and cost avoidance, while enhancing the maturity of our IT contract clauses.
  • Ensuring IT contracts meet AIA’s high standards, as defined by the Contract
  • Management Contracting Playbook and similar existing contracts and clauses.
  • Identifying and minimising risks within the company’s IT contracts, including reducing onerous third-party vendor clause obligations.
  • Seeking to maximise flexibility within our IT contracts, ensuring that we secures the right to use technology broadly with limited licensing restrictions.
  • Ensuring the correct allocation of risk between the company and third-party vendors.
  • Communicating with vendors as part of the negotiation and contracting process.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders involved with projects.
  • Collaborating with various technical IT stakeholders that are involved with preparing operational, services, and general IT content for inclusion in contracts, orders, and statements of work.
  • Managing communications with key stakeholders and business units.
  • Leading and participating in conversations between shared services entities and business units.
  • Advising stakeholders on contract status, questions, and clause interpretations.
  • Supporting the maintenance of an accurate agreement repository with all documents and emails stored for future reference.
  • Engaging with other Contract Management team members and functional stakeholders as required (e.g., Legal, Finance, Risk, Tax).
  • Coordinating and participating in both internal and external meetings.
  • Leveraging internal Contract Management team tools and repositories to drive.

Education –
University graduate in a relevant discipline

Experience –
Minimum 8-10+ years of relevant working experience.
Experience in vendor, contract management, or procurement functions.
Experience with contracts and master agreements.
Experience with negotiations. Internal and External –
Communications will be with both internal stakeholders (shared services stakeholders, business units, project staff, and functional stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Risk, Tax), and externally with third-party vendors.
Experience with statement of work drafting and quote/order reviews.

Skills –
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a dynamic environment
Detail oriented
Project delivery focus with ability to engage with cross-functional teams

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
