Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a project supporting a collaboration with OCBC within the insurance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting data engineering deliverables, with a strong focus on ETL processes, SQL, PL/SQL, and handling large volumes of data.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on data engineering project deliverables in collaboration with OCBC.
• Develop, maintain, and optimise ETL processes for large-scale data.
• Write and optimise complex SQL and PL/SQL queries.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading across various data sources.
• Work with large volumes of data while ensuring data accuracy, quality, and performance.
• Troubleshoot data processing and ETL-related issues.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Support data integration and migration activities where required.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in ETL, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Proven experience handling and processing large volumes of data.
• Strong understanding of data integration, transformation, and data processing concepts.
• Experience working in an insurance or financial services environment is an advantage.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Talend experience.
• Experience with YugabyteDB.
• Experience with MariaDB.
• Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database (Oracle ADB).
