Account Manager

The successful incumbent will be responsible for generating profitable sales revenue and increasing operating income by broadening sales coverage, establishing new accounts, and providing total solutions to customers. The role also involves maintaining close relationships with customers within assigned industries.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve sales targets for the assigned area of responsibility.
• Negotiate tenders, contract terms and conditions, and prepare sales contracts.
• Visit and meet prospective customers within assigned industries to understand their requirements and solicit orders.
• Prepare sales reports, analyse costs and sales, prepare quotations, and maintain and develop client accounts.
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product training, and after-sales support.
• Prepare product demonstrations and technical presentations for customers.
• Attend trade shows, conferences, marketing activities, and other relevant events.
• Work closely with supply chain management, sales support, project engineering, and order fulfilment teams.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of sales experience selling industrial products.
• Product knowledge of air compressors and control systems will be an advantage.
• Strong team player who is self-motivated and customer-oriented.
• Able to work independently with good communication and strong presentation skills.
• Understanding of financial metrics, including margin, revenue, overhead costs, Profit & Loss, and project financials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with a strong client-service mindset.
• Possess own vehicle.
