The Role

Are you an experienced AS/400 Developer with a passion for core banking systems? We're seeking a skilled professional with strong domain expertise in Payments and Loans to develop, enhance, and support critical banking applications on IBM I (AS/400). This onsite contract role places you at the heart of the finance sector, working on systems that power everyday banking operations, with exposure to Silverlake Core Banking considered a strong advantage.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain applications using RPG/RPGLE, CL, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400

• Support Payments, Remittance, Fund Transfer, and Loan Management systems

• Perform application enhancements, production support, bug fixing, and performance tuning

• Participate in requirement analysis, development, testing, UAT, and production deployment

• Support incident resolution and end-of-day banking processes

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and system stability

What We're Looking For

• 5-10 years of AS/400 (IBM i) development experience

• Strong skills in RPG, RPGLE, CLP, SQLRPGLE, and DB2

• Mandatory banking experience in Payments and Loans

• Experience with system integration, APIs, MQ, and batch processing

• Good understanding of SDLC and production support practices

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills

• Experience with Silverlake Core Banking, SWIFT, ISO20022, or regulatory/compliance banking projects is an added advantage
