Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Senior HR Executive is responsible for leading the HR team and providing HR advice and support to Management. The role oversees HR operations, employee relations, payroll, compliance, and people development to ensure effective HR practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

HR Leadership & Management

  • Lead and develop the HR team to ensure smooth HR operations.
  • Set priorities and ensure HR matters are handled professionally and confidentially.
  • Review HR processes and recommend improvements.

Management Advisory & Employee Relations

  • Advise Management on HR policies, employee relations, workforce, and people matters.
  • Handle disciplinary cases, grievances, performance issues, and workplace conflicts.
  • Provide practical HR solutions to support Management decisions.

Payroll Management

  • Oversee accurate monthly payroll and payroll reports.
  • Verify salaries, allowances, commissions, claims, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Ensure attendance, leave, new joiners, resignations, promotions, and salary changes are accurately reflected.
  • Ensure EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and other statutory contributions are properly submitted.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, promotion, transfer, and exit processes.
  • Manage employee benefits, claims, attendance, and leave administration.
  • Review and approve employee leave applications through the HR system.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain HR policies, employee records, contracts, systems, and documentation.

Performance & People Development

  • Drive performance management and KPI processes.
  • Support managers in employee development and performance matters.
  • Identify training needs and promote a positive, high-performing workplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to advise Management and handle confidential matters professionally.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Experience with HR systems and payroll processes is an advantage.
