What You Will Be Working On
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within the committed schedule and budget ensuring project issues are timely resolved or escalated to management for attention.
- Provide regular update to HTX management on the project progress highlighting project milestones, issues and track project expenditure.
- Effectively engage and manage all relevant stakeholders to deliver system.
- Identify, manage project risks and implications to the project and to recommend mitigating measures.
- Manage contractual and payment matters affecting the projects and ensure that systems are operating according to service level agreements.
- Understand the various prevailing policies and security guidelines and to ensure the system and processes are designed to comply with these policies and guidelines.
- Ensure proper integration and testing of all hardware and software components so the system is delivered according to contractual requirements.
- Work with external agencies and/or Home Team Departments (HTDs) to enhance and enable intelligence on existing new sensor system through augmented analytics.
- Optimizing sensors deployed to minimise duplications through data engineering.
- Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data acquired with good knowledge on Cybersecurity practices
- Collaborate with various teams to integrate sensors to backend applications and interface seamlessly with AI and data engineering team.
- Collaborate with various agencies to maximize the synergies from the Whole-Of Government approach
- Ability to simplify ideas, present and engage stake holders and senior management.
- Keep abreast of technological advances in Sensors, data analysis, continual refinement of architectures and government policies & recommendations, etc.
What We Are Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, or other related Engineering.
- Applicants with postgraduate qualifications and/or more than 5 years of experience working in the relevant technology domains will be considered for senior positions.
- 0-3 years of relevant networking working experience for Engineer/Lead Engineer and at least 8 years for Principal Engineer in a suitably sized enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding in Deployment and maintenance of Large-scale Front-End Sensors.
- Strong experience working with multiple stakeholders on verifications of optimal on-site deployment.
- Good understanding on System and Network Integration.
- Strong understanding in Infrastructure Construction to support ICT equipment (e.g. Structures, Electrical, Network Installation, Wireless Transmission, etc.).
- Strong understanding in Cybersecurity on edge sensors integration.
- Candidates with knowledge video surveillance technology, including transmission technology, data storage system and data security technology; and experience in critical operation activities will have an added advantage.
- Strong planning and project management skills, with facilitation skills, problem-solving skills and organising capabilities. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification would be an advantage.
- Strong interest in technology and innovation.
- Competent, self-motivated, pro-active, dedicated and responsible as well as having the ability to work independently without the need for close supervision.
- Good critical thinking, data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under tight timelines.
All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
