Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance and Inspection

• Conduct routine checks, tests and calibrations on AV equipment such as LED displays, projectors, microphones and control systems to ensure optimal performance

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime

Troubleshooting and Repairs

• Identify and resolve technical issues with audio, video and control systems

• Perform repairs using tools like multimeters and diagnostic software

System Monitoring and Support

• Monitor AV systems during live events and provide on-site or remote support

Installation Assistance

• Assist in setting up and installing AV systems to meet specific environment needs and ensuring compliance with safety standards

Documentation and Inventory Management

• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and manage the inventory of spare parts and equipment

Collaboration and Training

• Work with AV installation teams and train end-users on the basic operation of AV equipment

Staying Current with Technology

• Stay updated with advancements in AV technology and recommend system improvements

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer / Electrical Engineering or other related disciplines

• Certifications such as AVIXA’s Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or specific credentials from manufacturers like Crestron or AV Stumpfl are preferred

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintaining and troubleshooting AV equipment. Experience in event venues, corporate settings or educational institutions is a plus

• Proficiency in AV control systems, diagnostic tools and AV-related software. Familiarity with network protocols and safety standards is also important
