Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary We are seeking an analytical, highly technical, and results-oriented Utilities Manager to join our regional infrastructure and facilities engineering practice. In this critical leadership role, you will be the core technical owner responsible for monitoring, auditing, and optimizing all plant utilities, mechanical systems, power distribution matrices, and environmental compliance frameworks across our facilities. Operating at the intersection of manufacturing engineering, sustainability management, and corporate operations, you will lead energy reduction programs, manage external utility suppliers, and oversee complex machinery configurations. The ideal candidate will combine rigorous system engineering logic with deep resource data analytics to systematically mitigate operational risks, eliminate resource waste, and ensure zero downtime across our modern footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utility Systems Management: Direct and monitor the day-to-day operations, configuration stability, and energy loads of all mechanical, electrical, cooling (HVAC), compressed air systems, and high-capacity backup circuits.
  • Consumption Auditing & Analytics: Track, extract, and interpret critical utility datasets (electricity, water, and gas footprints), compiling comprehensive data visualization charts and strategic analytics briefs for senior leadership review.
  • Preventive Maintenance Overhaul: Design, implement, and track comprehensive preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all critical utility generation hardware and power distribution networks.
  • Sustainability & Compliance Engineering: Drive localized resource efficiency programs and heat recovery optimizations to ensure plant setups strictly align with environmental regulations, carbon reduction targets, and industrial energy indexes.
  • Vendor & SLA Optimization: Source, negotiate with, and evaluate commercial energy providers, mechanical engineers, and utilities contractors, auditing performance logs strictly against established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Process Improvement Support: Audit internal standard operating procedures (SOPs), automation loops, and building management parameters to proactively resolve system bottlenecks and eliminate working capital waste.
  • Technical Documentation Control: Maintain precise physical and digital records frameworks, compiling electrical schematic matrices, equipment calibration records, carbon emission trackers, and mandatory compliance logs for internal and statutory audits.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related quantitative technical STEM discipline.
  • Technical Stack: Strong command of Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA automated setups, technical drawing blueprints, and energy configuration tracking software. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for metrics tracking and data parsing is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience (5–8 years) in an engineering operations or utilities environment, with at least 2+ years of direct experience managing technical engineering squads—specifically within a manufacturing plant, heavy industrial hub, semiconductor cleanroom, or mission-critical commercial facility—is required.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; professional etiquette and an assertive, collaborative stakeholder management style to bridge frontline technicians with corporate executives.
  • Core Competencies: Outstanding structural logic, intense attention to detail under tight corporate reporting deadlines, strong analytical troubleshooting capabilities under pressure, and a resilient team-player mindset.

Pay: $3,700.00 - $8,300.00 per month
