Job Description

Responsibilities

NCE CORPORATION (S) PTE. LTD. is looking for an experienced and capable Project Manager to manage and deliver construction, Addition & Alteration (A&A), renovation, interior fit-out, reinstatement, painting, waterproofing, building upgrading and M&E-related projects in Singapore. The successful candidate must possess strong project management, site coordination, technical, commercial and client-management capabilities and be able to independently manage projects from commencement through completion and handover.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Plan, manage and oversee projects from award and mobilization through construction, completion and

handover.

• Manage A&A, renovation, interior fit-out, reinstatement, building improvement, painting, waterproofing and

associated M&E works.

• Review tender drawings, construction drawings, specifications, contract requirements, Bills of Quantities and

project scope.

• Prepare and maintain project master programs, detailed work schedules and resource plans.

• Attend client/consultant meeting as required, weekly progress meeting with client.

• Coordinate architectural, structural, civil and M&E works to ensure proper work sequencing.

• Lead site coordination meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project

teams.

• Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, subcontractors and equipment to ensure works remain on

schedule.

• Identify potential delays, technical conflicts and site constraints and implement appropriate corrective

measures.

• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements and technical

documents.

• Coordinate with consultants and relevant parties for technical clarifications, RFIs and approvals.

• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and

quality standards.

• Manage subcontractors and suppliers and closely monitor their progress, quality and performance.

• Coordinate procurement and ensure materials and equipment are delivered according to the project

programme.

• Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor on variation works, progress claims, subcontractor claims and cost

control.

• Identify and substantiate Variation Orders arising from design changes, additional works or site conditions.

• Monitor project budget and control unnecessary project costs.

• Ensure proper project documentation, progress reports, meeting records, inspection records and

correspondence are maintained.

• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, defect rectification and final handover.

• Ensure all outstanding works and defects are closed within the required timeframe.

• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health requirements and the company's safety management

procedures.

• Lead and guide Project Coordinators, Site Supervisors and other site personnel.

• Maintain professional communication and strong working relationships with clients and consultants.

• Perform any other project-related duties assigned by management.


Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, Architectural

Engineering.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant construction/project management local experience, preferably within the

Singapore construction industry.

• Strong experience in A&A Upgrading, renovation, fit-out, refurbishment and reinstatement works is

highly preferred.

• Experience handling projects involving coordination of architectural, civil and M&E trades.

• Able to independently manage projects from commencement to completion.

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, work methods and site coordination.

• Strong project planning, scheduling and problem-solving abilities.

• Good knowledge of project cost, Variation Orders and progress claim processes.

• Good understanding of Singapore construction practices, WSH requirements and project documentation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

• BIM/Revit knowledge will be an advantage.

• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and client-management skills.

• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in a hands-on Project Manager who is comfortable working both on site and with

project documentation. The candidate should be technically strong, commercially aware and capable of taking

ownership of projects rather than relying heavily on senior management for day-to-day project decisions.
