Responsibilities
Installation & Setup
: Lay out and install electrical wiring, conduits, and pipes to house cables.Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.Set up lighting systems, electrical sockets, and appliances.
Maintenance & Inspection
: Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or breakdowns.Replace old or faulty wiring, insulated cables, and circuit boards to prevent system failure.Ensure all installations adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
Troubleshooting & Repair
: Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing devices like voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.Isolate faults and repair or replace damaged parts in motors, generators, and controllers.Respond to emergency power failures or equipment breakdowns.
Technical Planning
: Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to understand wiring layouts.Prepare sketches or written instructions for installation and repair work.Document all servicing information, repairs, and materials used
