Job Description:
Develop and configure AS400 COBOL software modules, interfaces and components under the guidance of senior team members
Work collaboratively in a team environment to deliver quality software that meets requirements within agreed timelines
Participate in exploring solutions to enhance application functionality and fulfil business / user needs
Adhere to established standards and methodologies of application design and functionality
Demonstrate eagerness to continuously grow technical skills and stay current with software development trends
Proactively raise issues and escalate blockers to senior developers or team lead
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology
Minimum 3 years of AS400 COBOL development experience (candidates with Mainframe COBOL or AS400 RPG experience who are fast learners and keen to pick up AS400 COBOL will also be considered)
Exposure to banking or payments domain is preferred
Working knowledge of AS400 COBOL (Mainframe COBOL or AS400 RPG), SQL and DB2 database
Experience in JIRA and ALDON preferred
Exposure to the software delivery lifecycle and AS400 application maintenance
Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with clients
