PRODUCTION MANAGER - Manufacturing Industry

Salary: RM7,000 – RM9,000
Location: Port Klang & Jenjarom
Working Days: Monday – Friday + Saturday if required

We are looking for a hands-on Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and production team.

You will be responsible for ensuring production targets, quality, delivery, productivity and manpower performance are achieved while continuously improving our manufacturing processes.

This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the production floor, solving problems and driving improvements.

What You'll Be Doing

Production & Planning

• Lead daily and weekly production activities to achieve output and delivery targets
• Manage production planning, capacity, manpower and scheduling
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and downtime
• Optimise manpower, machines and materials

Quality & Process Improvement

• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Reduce defects, rework, waste and production losses
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement
• Improve productivity, OEE and overall production efficiency

People Leadership

• Lead and develop Production Supervisors, Team Leaders and Operators
• Plan manpower according to production requirements
• Build a culture of accountability, discipline and continuous improvement
• Provide hands-on leadership and support on the production floor

SOP & Compliance

• Develop and improve production SOPs and process controls
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and manufacturing procedures
• Support ISO, OEKO-TEX and customer audits
• Maintain production records and KPI reporting

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Warehouse, Procurement, Maintenance, QA, Sales and Customer Service
• Coordinate resources to resolve production and delivery issues
• Support new product launches, factory expansion and process improvement projects

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Production, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Management or related field
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing / production management experience
• At least 3 years in a leadership role such as Senior Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Manager
• Strong experience in production planning, scheduling, manpower planning and production control
• Proven track record in improving productivity, quality and production efficiency
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma or similar methodologies
• Knowledge of RCA, CAPA and ISO 9001 is an advantage
• Experience with OEKO-TEX or customer audits is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and people-management skills
• Hands-on, decisive and comfortable working in a fast-paced factory environment
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia

Industry experience in any high-volume manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
