Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

Support EPC projects for Electrical & Instrumentation systems from engineering stage to commissioning and handover.

Preparation and review electrical and instrumentation drawings, specifications, datasheets, panel GA drawings, cable schedules, loop drawings, and other technical documents.

Oversee contractors and vendors for E&I installations, loop checks, panel fabrication, and instrument calibration.

Monitor and supervise site installation works including cable laying, cable tray/conduit installation, panel installation, instrument installation, and termination works.

Prepare cable schedule and cable route diagrams and conduit development

Support plant maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and modification works for electrical and instrumentation systems.

Conduct site walks and inspections to verify installation quality, safety compliance, and construction progress.

Generate field instruments, PLC I/O lists from P&IDs

Prepare technical specifications, scope of work and BOQ documents.

Design of Control System Architecture/ Network diagrams

Design of Panel Elevation drawings and GA, loop/ wiring diagrams and control schematics.

Prepare datasheets and purchase specifications for field instruments and control system

Prepare basic control philosophy for the plant control system

Participate in FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and testing activities.

Assist in preparation and review of method statements, risk assessments, inspection test plans, and work procedures.

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.

Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and support project documentation activities.

Coordinate with operation and maintenance teams during shutdowns, tie-ins, and plant modification works.

Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor/ management.

Job Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience in EPC projects, industrial plants, process plants, water/wastewater treatment plants, or oil & gas industries preferred.

Good knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, PLC/SCADA systems, field instruments, and industrial communication protocols.

Familiar with electrical and instrumentation standards, testing procedures, and safety requirements.

Ability to review technical documents and provide site technical support.

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and support site activities when required.
Implementing FWAs successfully through training and senior management support.
