overseeing and performing quality control for painting projects by managing documentation, inspecting surface preparation and finished coatings, conducting various tests, ensuring adherence to project specifications, and coordinating with clients and contractors. They are responsible for implementing the Quality Control Plan, supervising inspection teams, and maintaining detailed inspection records. Quality assurance and control

• Implement quality plans: Ensure the correct implementation of the Quality Control Plan and other company and project procedures. Make sure the dimension is correct.
• Supervise inspection: Lead and delegate tasks to QC inspectors to ensure daily inspection activities are completed correctly.
• Review and manage documentation: Review contractor documentation, material certifications, and inspection reports, and maintain a comprehensive record of all quality control activities.
• Coordinate inspections: Arrange and conduct joint inspections with clients, consultants, and higher management.
• Address non-conformances: Participate in the disposition of non-conforming items and lead the root cause analysis for corrective and preventive actions.
• Final acceptance: Conduct final inspections and obtain client acceptance of the finished work.

Surface preparation and coating inspection

• Monitor environment: Record environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and dew point before and during painting operations.
• Verify surface preparation: Inspect and verify the quality of surface preparation, including blasting.
• Perform testing: Conduct and oversee a range of tests, including wet and dry film thickness, adhesion, and hardness tests.
• Inspect coating application: Monitor the application process to ensure it follows the correct cycles, methods, and thickness.
• Check materials: Inspect incoming raw materials and paints to ensure they meet specifications and have correct certifications.
• Verify color and finish: Ensure the correct color-coding and final finish meet project requirements.
• Inspect equipment: Verify that all on-site equipment, such as coating thickness gauges, is properly calibrated.

Coordination and communication

• Liaise with teams: Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve quality-related issues.
• Provide reports: Produce daily and other inspection reports for review and approval.
• Lead meetings: Attend and lead pre-work meetings with subcontractors to review painting definable features of work.
• Communicate requirements: Ensure site personnel understand and adhere to all company procedures and project specifications.
